Angie and Caleb's wedding weekend was a time filled to the brim with tremendous laughter and the sweetest, most evident joy! Conversations echoed across the campus of Asbury Seminary with the excitement of their union as families and friends drove from far away states. Memories recalled of first meetings, adventurous gatherings, seasons of waiting, seasons of planning, and hopes for their future.
Upon meeting Angie, she immediately felt like family. Her heart is sweet, her laugh contagious, and her love for the Lord bright. She is the friend of my sister, Charisse, who was blessed to be a bridesmaid; thus, I was blessed with a few visits from Angie prior to the wedding weekend. When Angie spoke of Caleb, she spoke of a man of wisdom, strong character, and a man worthy of her. In this age, all seem to be a rarity. However, she spoke with certainty and the purest contentment. Thus, when meeting Caleb during their rehearsal, I had high hopes. Caleb exceeded my thoughts and expectations.
Watching the way Caleb doted over Angie was a precious gift for my heart! He saw her. He cared for her and was aware of her every need. In moments of joy, he supporter her. In moments of anticipated stress, he touched her with a great strength and source of love. Caleb was patient and kind and all that I could have dreamed of him being for her.
Meeting Caleb and Angie's friends, too, echoed their joy and hearts for the Lord. Needless to say, the weekend was wrapped in a well anticipated hope for their future as husband and wife! How sweet a gift, how lovely a day, how praise worthy a weekend, how delightful a couple, and how precious a gift to watch such a union in life begin.
To Angie and Caleb Hartley!
May your life together be long, your days filled with a joyful presence of Jesus, and your hearts full of love, peace, and forgiveness for one another. May these images serve as a reminder of the great covenant you have stepped into together and be enjoyed for many years to come!
